CARE GUIDE
BONDI JEWELS jewellery pieces are individually hand-made to order with the utmost care and attention to detail by our in-house experienced artisans. All of our pieces are crafted from the finest quality materials including; 14 Karat Gold Filled, 18 Karat Gold Vermeil, genuine 925 Sterling Silver and genuine freshwater pearls.Â
Due to the delicate, hand-crafted nature of our pieces, care and consideration is required to maintain your jewellery and ensure the longevity of each piece. We don't recommend our jewellery for children under the age of 16 years old. To keep your hand-crafted jewels in pristine condition, we recommend following our guidelines below which are material specific:
GOLD FILLED
Our gold-filled jewellery contains 5% real gold and is tarnish resistant however appropriate care must be taken to prolong the life of the jewellery.  We recommend avoiding chemicals such as those found in perfumes, lotions, sunscreens, chlorine, fake tan etc. and removing your jewellery before swimming, showering and exercising to avoid unnecessary wear and tear and scratching of your piece/s.Â

Sterling silver jewellery is known to oxidise over time. To restore your jewellery back to it's original bright and shiny condition, we recommend polishing your sterling silver jewellery with a silver polishing cloth as required.Â

FRESHWATER PEARLS
Our freshwater pearl necklaces and bracelets are hand-threaded onto premium beading silk thread. Silk thread is the recommended thread for beading pearls, however the thread can loosen over time and may require re-stringing in time. If this is case, please get in contact with us and we'll be happy to help for a fee. To avoid any scratching of pearl beads we recommend wearing your pearls as often as possible and storing them away from potential damage when not in use.Â
